Betfred Sports Prepares for Maryland Launch with Local Partner

Betfred Sports is already gearing up to enter Maryland’s sports betting landscape once it becomes available to private operators. The state is looking forward to launching both retail and online betting operations and Betfred Sports will be among the first to enter and secure a license in the state, the sportsbook argues in a new press release.

Betfred Finds Local Partner in Long Shot’s of Frederick

To make this a reality, Betfred Sports has teamed up with Long Shot’s of Frederick, which will enable the due to work on the full spectrum of gambling solutions that will enable consumers to place bets quickly in-person and remotely once the regulatory approvals are issued.

A temporary retail sportsbook is planned for the Maryland Jockey Club’s OTB for the upcoming football season. There will be another, permanent structure, which will sprawl on 8,800 square feet and feature a video wall, comfortable seating, and more at some point next year.

The retail sportsbook experience will come with a range of great food and beverage choices which will be served as part of the experience. Commenting on this opportunity Long Shot’s CEO Alyse Cohen said:
